2018 - BEGINNINGS
Walking.shots began as an Instagram handle for founder Eric W. Whitelaw's photography account. Eric began his work with actor headshots and performance stills.
STILLS TO MOTION - 2019
From stills, we moved into motion. Theatre promo videos became our next canvas, short cinematic pieces that captured the emotion and energy of live performance. This phase sparked Eric's fascination with storytelling through moving images.
2022 - FIRST FILM
Everything changed with Piano Man, our first original film. This project marked the transition from promotional content to narrative filmmaking. It wasn't just a step forward. It was a leap into storytelling as a medium for meaning, beauty, and depth.
SINGULAR FOCUS - 2024
Eric W. Whitelaw co-founded Helios Media with Benjamin Atkinson, a good friend and cinematographer for the short film Lost Love. Helios became the home for commercial and branded content, allowing walking.shots to fully dedicate itself to cinematic, story-driven filmmaking.

Today, walking.shots exists to tell compelling stories about people and art. We craft films that are emotionally honest, visually rich, and deeply human, shaped by collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to storytelling that matters. We want to offer those wanting to start in the industry a chance, whether in front of the camera or behind it, and we're proud to support new voices and talents as they begin their own journey in filmmaking.
